Changing the settings will stop the unintentional zooming when you use your touch pad.

Change the Settings

From the Windows desktop, aim your mouse pointer at the upper right corner to reveal the Charms bar. Click 'Settings.' The Settings app tile screen on the Charms bar differs from the one on the desktop. If you're on the apps screen, click the 'Desktop' tile to access the Charms bar. On the Settings menu click 'Control Panel.' Click 'Hardware and Sound' and then under Devices and Printers, click 'Mouse.' In Mouse Properties click 'Touchpad' and then click 'Touchpad Settings.' Click 'Gestures' and then click the check mark in the box for Zoom to clear it.

Finding the Zoom Gesture

Terms for turning off zoom vary by touch pad software. These steps apply to Synaptics touch pads, the most common type. Alternatively, you may need to click 'Device Settings' in Mouse Properties, then select 'Pinch Zoom' and click the check mark for 'Enable Click Zoom.' To disable zoom on a Cypress track pad, click 'Cypress Trackpad' in Mouse Properties and then select 'Click to Change Cypress TrackPad Settings.' Select 'Two-Finger Gestures' and click the check mark on 'Zoom In/Out' to disable zoom.
