HI Guys!!!
I own a Pro Tech Super Charger #702 by Model Craft MFG. (it was my dad's) but I do not know anything about it such as what batteries it will charge, whether it turns off by itself once the battery is charged etc...
I have posted a picture of it for you to see so you know what I am talking about.
It has a 15 minute timer, a 1 amp fuse, a trickle light indicator, a discharge and charge switch, a 6 cell and 7 cell switch, a D.C. amperes meter, a DC 12v input holes (both positive and negative), a cigarette lighter plug-in, a tamiya plug-in, and negative and positive knobs on the side. Anyone familiar with this charger?
I have no idea how to use it. I know how to plug in my 7.2v 3000Mah batteries to the Tamiya connector but I am unsure how long to charge them, and whether this charger will stop charging once it detects the batteries are fully charged etc..
Here is what I want to know:
What range of Mah batteries can I charge with this charger? i.e., up to 3500mah? How low?
What volts will it charge? I know it charges 7.2 volt batteries, but will it charger smaller or larger like 9.6 or 8.4?
Will the charger detect when the battery is fully charged and shut off so it doesn't over-charge the batteries?
What does the trickle light indicator do? Whats it for?
What is the 15 minute timer used for?
What is the discharge switch used for?
Will the charger detect when the battery is fully charged and stop charging? Is that what the trickle light indicator is for? Will the light turn on or flash or what?
Is there an 800 number I can call to ask more detailed questions about it? Or maybe a website I can go to to learn more about it?
I tried doin g some searches but I cannot find any info on it.
Thank you for your help!!! ;-)
